The twins graduated from Kindy last week and as a thank you from us to the Kindy we made them a snakes and ladders board. It is made from a recycled rimu panel with a mahogany edge. I planed a tongue onto the mahogany and a groove into the edge of the rimu to strengthen the board when it was assembled. The snakes and ladders are carved by hand, carefully shaped for the prospective user and highlighted with wood stain. It is finished with danish oil. Even the twins lent a hand!
